I got the last of my birthday stash presents today, so I thought you would like to see them all. I wanted stitching kits, but something a bit different, so here they are:
Two Brazilian flower embroidery kits
A cross stitch and hardanger kit (mine is the rectangular version)
And a crewel work and candlewicking kit (and no, I don't have a clue what candlewicking is

)
I think I'm going to try the Roses hardanger kit first although the instructions look a bit thin (it's just the chart with no extra text) so I might be shouting for help Serinde

Wonderful kits Susan! Looking forward to seeing these grow.
*wonders why the postman only seems to bring her
bills!*

My leopard gaze is nearly finished so I have been looking for the next projects.
I really like the EMS 2008 project (
http://www.maurer-stroh.com/project2008.html" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank) and have ordered floss (Sew&sow) and fabric (Happy Crossstitcher) for it. Also ordered some Q snaps to try them and a tread cutter for future travel.
But then I went of the Colway website and saw the Kustom Krafts kits.... wauw, BIG mistake! I'm a 'big cats' fan and would like to do 6: leopard, lion, tiger, puma, black panter (= black leopard) and cheetah. So I have added 2 to my collection:

Black panter
and

Blue eyes
To get through the winter months I also ordered something with plenty of colour

Sunflowers
That is me sorted for the next 3 to 4 years!!!
The kits took 6 weeks to arrive and I was getting a bit nervous because of no communication after the initial confirmation of my order. But they are well worth the wait.

Oh, that sunflower kit is gorgeous! Sunflowers are my favourite flowers!
My postman brought me 10 skeins of floss I ordered for my Floatilla. I tried a new ebay seller and they only took 2 days to arrive - much faster than my usual seller.

I love the tiger!

I saw some Kustom Krafts kits on ebay, but have't ever looked at a 'Colway' website.
*Rushes off to google it*

I think it's actually Colray Crafts *hopes Google picked up on the slight difference in spelling*

When I went to do a final clean in my old flat I found some threads from Elaine waiting for me which made the job of having to clean not seem so bad so thanks Elaine.

He did -- and I thought they were on strike

!
Some lovely things too, a book about miniature needlecraft I got off Amazon, and my Letter-gift from WOXS. I'll post about that in a separate thread as it was both rather wonderful and rather puzzling...

I see everyone is getting bits in the post "under the wire" as it were.
Susan, you just shout if you need a hand!
Angel, enjoy Mr Fox. It's your sort of story, really... as you will see.

don't think the actual delivery staff etc are on strike till tomorrow so maybe we are getting what had arrived and been sorted by last night. Only thing I got was my credit card bill - OUCH
I see on the news they are talking about striking for 3 days next week. This could get to be one large pain in the bahookie!
