I thought it was about time to show you some of my newer WIPs.

First of there is a little french knot sheep (actually it's quite fat or wooly depending on how you want to see it). I stitch it on Ariosa linen using DMC 310 and 4015 (Variations).
I plan to stitch quite a few of these, all slightly different and make them into buttons, charms etc to sell
What do you think of my first sheep then? I need to add a few more french knots to the little guys body and I definitely need to improve my french knots but all in all I'm really happy with him :)
Image

My second newish start is Joan Elliott's Victorian Christmas Lady which was in issue 202 of Crossstitch Collection. I haven't managed much on her unfortunately, but when I do pick her up I'm really enjoying it.
Here she is now
Image

And hopefully she'll eventually end up looking like this
Image

The last WIP I want to show you is the start of the baby afghan I'm doing for my niece. It only has six squares and they will be filled with little baby animals. First up are two polar bear cubs, not managed too much on them yet though (although I'm quite a bit further along then I was in this picture)

Image

And finally I just wanted to show you how I finished off my HUG cushion. I made it up a few months back but since my old camera died a sudden death I couldn't show you. Luckily I got a new one for Christmas :) Yay!

Love the cushion :applesauce: and the polar bears on the afghan are lovely. :applesauce:
The photos didn't come through on the Victorian Lady progress but the picture of the design did and it is going to be beautiful. and I love your little french knot sheep. He is so cute. I think they would be great buttons and charms and that is a really clever idea. So creative.

Thanks for your lovely words Carole, I've fixed the missing picture now. Put in the wrong type of image link, think that definitely means it's bed time.

That little sheep is really cool! I bet you'll have a lot of interest. I love how you finished HUG, that is such a cool pattern and the fringe really works.

Good luck on Victorian lady, she's very beautiful and you've made an excellent start. :applesauce:

Love the little sheep - gorgeous texture from both the french knots and the Ariosa! Glad you put a picture of your Hug Cushion in here (saw it in the finishes of 2011 thread) - because I wanted to say that it is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!! I'm looking forward to seeing what other beauties we will see from you in 2012.....no doubt further enabling me in the process......!

Thought I'd show you how I was getting on with my Sleepy Hollow Sampler, it's close to being finished. Just need to add a few more pumpkins (or orange blobs) to the border, and some back stitch for the spiders so they aren't just black blobs any more and I need to get some more of the border thread as I ran out a few stitches before the end.

Image

My newly arrived Carrie's threads sort of inspired me to do a floss toss for The Great Escape, although I'm not sure if I will be stitching it all or just the owl.
What do you guys think of the colours?

Those are beautiful colors. Are these the ones you are planning on for TGE? Epiphony and Eggplant are so lovely. they would look good on almost anything I can think of.

I love this one. I read the story in English at undergrad and see it in a different way now. Plus one of my internships was only a couple hours south so we went to visit the town a few times. Actually my parents came down to visit with my aunt and uncle and almost got locked in the cemetery in Sleepy Hollow!
