With a bit of trepidation I give to you my first attempt at one of Mabel's fantastic designs (uncut version) - part of the Kaleidoscope series:

It was my first time using any type of perle thread and I really loved learning the new stitches, Chinese Lantern and Square Filet. I can't wait to complete the set and then stitch a cut set. Hopefully I'll be able to graduate to Mabel's other designs - the Round Dozen series and I have my eye on a few others......
Thanks to Mabel for her wonderful design skills and eye for colour which tempted me to have a go at Hardanger!

Oops - I accidentally stitched another one instead of doing the ironing!.....

In this one I learned four pointed star stitch and how to work twisted bars in Kloster blocks.

Can't blame you for creating something wonderful instead of doing the ironing!!(Ironing is the bane of my life!!)
Seriously though they are really lovely, congratulations on two superb finishes
I'll be looking out for more and will be really interested in seeing your cut designs...I keep thinking about giving one a try and then can't seem to pluck up enough courage!!

These designs are just so much fun to stitch! This one uses modified sheaf stitch and dove's eyes.

They are all gorgeous and you are obviously having a lot of fun doing them, after all isn't that what stitching is about??
