Over the week I have been working on my Lovey Mum piece in my conservatory:

This seems to be moving forward faster than my Celestial Dragon:

Where I have nearly finished the top face of his neck on the left of the piece and you can see I have just moved on to using a combination of yellow threads used for the spines on the top of the neck.

Great progress Jo, Lovely Mum is just, well, lovely.

Celestial Dragon is beautiful and coming along beautifully.

Is that a single bead I spy just above where your needle is currently resting?

Not yet  . I am saving the beading until last as it makes it difficult to scroll the piece on the frame. The "shiny bit" is some of the metallic thread catching the light - there is a lot of metallic thread on the dragon, the camera doesn't do it justice.

Thank you for following along on my pieces :)

The weather has changed and its gone all hot. I am not a lover of hot weather and it is not at all pleasant in my Conservatory so very little has been done this week on Lovely Mum:

Thankfully the stitching conditions are much cooler in my dining room (and I can feed my feathered friends at the same time :D ) so I have mainly been working on Celestial Dragon:

I was working on this rather late yesterday evening as I was on a bit of a roll as the outline of the body towards the bottom was coming into view. I will have to either have a siesta or an early night today :thinks:

:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: I love this piece and I love how beautiful your stitching of it is. I think siestas were made for hot weather afternoons so you can enjoy cooler evenings.

Thank you,

The weather is going to be very hot for the coming week so so the outlook is for more cross stitch time :D

I normally try to only update you once a week otherwise it can get a bit boring but hopefully you might appreciate a few more additional updates on this one when it increases significantly
