I took this out of my rotation since it is almost done. Just the leaf on the left corner, backstitching and the french knots left to do. I should be done by this weekend. Very HOT here so keeping cool while stitching today.

Thanks all for the metallic thread advice.
I tried to do a bit of the border in the metallic thread...wow...nightmare.
I am even looking at it and it doesn't look glittery to me.
I'll tried the short lengths (using 40cms at the minute) and the knot.

I finished my "I Stitch therefore I Stash" SAL . I posted it into my http://socialsue.blogspot.com" target="_blank

I am having trouble posting the photo here for some reason so once I can figured out what the problem is, I will transfer the photo into the "I Stitch therefore I Stash" thread.

Thanks,

I've made a bit of progress on this one.

For the main part of the stitching I'm using Carrie's Creation's 'Twister', and it's my first time using it, and I find that it has a lovely sheen to it.

I wish I had more time to stitch, but I often feel so tired after work, and just want to go to bed

Twister's looking good! Are you using the cotton or the silk?

Love the way you finished yours off Kerry.

Your colours Murmured are very striking. The twister thread you used, is it like the DMC variegated thread or different colour threads?.

I'm using the silk, I've become a little obbessed with them lately and the Carries silks are so reasonably priced

It is a variegated thread and so much fun to use :)

Whaat a lot of ideas here in this thread. Even though it's been said, I repeat, the box is PERFECT for this piece. I have some Light Impressions I was thinking of trying on something, I hope it goes better than it sounds. I'll let you know, but it may be a little while, unless I get a bee in my bonnet and decide I have to know.
