I took this out of my rotation since it is almost done. Just the leaf on the left corner, backstitching and the french knots left to do. I should be done by this weekend. Very HOT here so keeping cool while stitching today.
Thanks all for the metallic thread advice.
I tried to do a bit of the border in the metallic thread...wow...nightmare.
I am even looking at it and it doesn't look glittery to me.
I'll tried the short lengths (using 40cms at the minute) and the knot.

I am having trouble posting the photo here for some reason so once I can figured out what the problem is, I will transfer the photo into the "I Stitch therefore I Stash" thread.
For the main part of the stitching I'm using Carrie's Creation's 'Twister', and it's my first time using it, and I find that it has a lovely sheen to it.
I wish I had more time to stitch, but I often feel so tired after work, and just want to go to bed
Mabel Figworthy wrote:Twister's looking good! Are you using the cotton or the silk?
I'm using the silk, I've become a little obbessed with them lately and the Carries silks are so reasonably priced

Whaat a lot of ideas here in this thread. Even though it's been said, I repeat, the box is PERFECT for this piece. I have some Light Impressions I was thinking of trying on something, I hope it goes better than it sounds. I'll let you know, but it may be a little while, unless I get a bee in my bonnet and decide I have to know.
