Oh that's a great plan!

I've had to do something similar when I gave my mother her Christmas present, and then took it back and finished the backstitch over the next few days.

As I have many weeks of holidays saved up I decided to take Friday off so I could spend one last day stitching (I managed just over 4,400 stitches in 7 days

due to a public holiday as well as the day off) before I washed and ironed what I had done to give to my teacher.

Here is the result - 100,300 stitches complete (

WHOOHOO! past 100,000 for the first time ever!), 82.52% and there are just over 200 stitches until the first half of the bottom row is complete):

Gave it to my teacher on Sunday (and took it back!) and he was very touched with it.

How could he not have been. This is an amazing gift to give him and I am sure that he will cherish it when he gets the finished piece. It is beautiful.

I can't imagine doing that many stitches in that time Tracy. As for having down over 100,000 stitches on 1 item my mind boggles at it.

I am sure he was amazed, touched, grateful and how much more he will be when he gets the finished gift.

Another 2 pages complete - that's 18/24 now, but P24 is only 270 stitches so does that really count as a page???

I now have less than 20,000 stitches to go and what I have left to stitch now fits in my 8"x11" qsnap
