Great work everyone. I've never seen these designs before.
Keep going Mabel - I think it's coming along really well.

as for the green and even some of the yellow borders, i'm trying to work them with long pieces of left over thread. i find that i am VERY frugal with these hand dyed threads where as i would just toss almost any length of dmc! i do get very bored with the border sections so i'm trying to remember to work it as i go along.
thanks for the encouraging words on the color and thread choices. i'm still so undecided. at least it was only a handful of colors so there wasn't a huge investment of money involved and i'm pretty sure i will use the whole skein on most of the colors and only have to buy more of the green and black maybe.
i have put this one down for a short time though to work on part 5 of the castles sal. now that i have purchased a wonderfully soft and beautiful piece of fabric for the boink project, i'm realizing how low quality the linen is that i got the castles project. i recently found and actual cross stitch store in my city and a whole new world of fabric and thread has opened up to me...for better or worse! and the serged the edge of my custom cut fabric...no more masking tape!

The BoInk title has had me fascinated for a while I'm so glad I know what it is now, when I've done my HAED I'd love to try this, it's so pretty.
Well done everyone on your finishes I really like them.

Bit more done -- some green border and a bit of the gold. I've decided to keep this as my stitching group project, as it's about 2 hours stitching seated at a table with good light, so although progress won't be very quick at least it'll get worked on regularly!
Must write to Carrie's Creations though and ask how on earth I clean this when it's finally done. I thought of dry-cleaning but then one of the ladies at the stitching group said you should never dry-clean silk -- but I can't wash it because it's all hand-dyed and even if most of the shades are well-behaved, the crimson is bound to run

!

Changed the thread's title as SocialSue and Flumpz both finished theirs several decades ago (

ladies!) and I realised I'd forgotten to add nikecam who joined us some months back.
Three of us left (but anyone is still welcome to join and swell our numbers!) -- Jilly, nikecam, what's the latest on yours?

Mabel, please, let us know what they answer about cleaning - I have the same problem with my Blackstone Fantasy garden - if it ever gets stitched.
That reminds me, Serinde did that, perhaps she has an answer... Calling Serinde... Did you use the hand-died threads for your Blackstone FG? Did you wash it?
