I'm posting this pic a week later, but I wanted to share these treasures I bought from casacenina:
The lapframe, I had benn dreaming about owning one for long, so I opted for this one in plastic, but I must confess I only used it twice before returning to my old, free fabric stitching. I hope I'll find a way to feel comfortable using it.
The Lilipoints "Le café" chart is already started (I posted some pics of my Sal on Sylvie's thread). The two towels are for a project features on Cross Stitcher 2010 calendar, the summer flip flops. The green bag, I still have to think how to decorate it.
Then I got some sequins to decorate a project I'm working on, I hope to finish it soon!

This frame looks very much like a Q-snap to me - unlike on the photo they gave you with it - can you also secure the sides of the fabric? If yes, it will be great, I believe. You can do two-handad stitching with it. I heard it takes a bit of practice but then it goes much faster.

lovely fabric colours, helbel!
last Saturday I got some lovely 32ct linen for the Stashaholic sampler, and two applique beading needles -- Yvette at Sew and So helped me, I didn't know what needle I was using exactly for the silk gauze, so I described it with measurements and she said it was probably an applique beading needle, so I bought them and they were

I can secure all 4 sides of the fabric, and it's very good for two hand stitching, if only I could stitch with both hands! I sometimes do it, but find it uncomfortable.

I've fancied trying one of those lap frames for ages, so please do let us know if you find it useful after all.
Is it frames generally you aren't comfy with or this lap one particularly?

It's frames in general, because I must confess I don't do the "needle down, needle up" method, but I rather do the "upper hole, lower hole at once" method, which isn't the best one but it's surely faster. Working with a frame, with your fabric tight, doesn't allow this second technique, taht's why I can't stick to it.

I am getting so disenchanted with our postal service.
I managed to pick up one of my outstanding parcels today. The other one, which they tried to deliver to me first last Wednesday, hasn't got back to the sorting office yesterday. The card said to allow 48 hours to let it get back, it's been nearly a week!

Luckily I've got Friday off work, because I'm having a new sofa delivered some time between 7 and 12 and the sorting office is open until 12.30 on week days. Here's hoping the sofa arrives early so I've got plenty of time to go down there! Also really hoping that the post near the folks I'm sending things out to is better than here...

DVD - Danielle Steele ""Zoya""
and Maragret Sherry kit, cat hanging on a tree branch that came with a free picture frame, small but useful for something else.
I am waiting for
Anne Frank DVD
Dove Grey Aida 14 count from ABC stitch therapy but haven''t got the paypal payment request yet.

I''ll give it another day before I contact them since I purchased on the weekend. That was a necessecity otherwise I couldn''t do my kits that came with 16 count that I cant see to use.
Cross Stitch kit "" dalmation sleeping"" with the wording ""never underestimate the power of a nap"" <- that was a broken new years resolution.

A nasty letter saying they over paid my income support by £340 last October and that I have to pay it back straight away! Bit strange seeing as they had stopped paying me by then as I had started work!
