Thank you for your kind comments everyone ;)

I'm managed to stitch a few more parts of TGE and I've also made some progress on my JE Lady

I think I'm back to stitching the owls breast feathers next, but at least he has a head now

Some nice Christmassy red has been added to her ladyships dress, just threaded a new shade of red a few minutes ago and ready to get going

:applesauce: They are both lovely. Your owl is so pretty and colorful. I love purple. Mrs MBK is gonna go nuts when she sees a purple owl (I'm almost positive that she loves purple). And your lady is looking very pretty also. :applesauce:

You are not wrong Carole - that owl is gorgeous Xandra!!! I know you are using Nina's Eggplant for the body, what thread have you used for the face - I need them for my purple thread collection! Oh and of course your lady is lovely too!

Thanks Amanda, I keep forgetting to write down what I've used for each part but I had a look at my floss and have now identified them.

all the straight stitches around his head are in Carrie's Creations Epiphany, the bit over the beak is in GAST Black Raspberry Jam. The eyes and beak are done in blues, the outside of the beak and insides of the eyes are done in GAST Black Crow, the inside of the beak and outside of the eyes re done in Carrie's Creations Indigo.

Once I get to the wing feathers I'll be adding a different purple into the mix :)

When I first scrolled down to your photos on this page I thought for a minute that the second one was of some big coloured beetle thing! Glad it isn't.

Wow, it's been a long time since I updated this thread. Here is a recent stitch, Part 1 of the Waiting for Christmas SAL over at Le Crocette di Manu

Image

It's stitched on 28-count antique white cashel linen, using Caron Wildflowers in Flame, Pine Forest and Holiday.

Part 2 is in the shape of a gift tag and I'm considering stitching it on some patterned fabric. You show you when it's done. Should have a few more updates soon, like those needlebook kits from Mabel, they are all stitched up, just need some assembly
