I've just been commissioned to design and stitch a wedding sampler! The catch is that I only have 2 weeks to stitch it, so I'm going to have my needles and fingers on fire getting it done in time as the wedding is 1st July and I'll have to pop it in the post too! (Fortunately it's staying in the country, so it won't take long - phew!).

Anyway, I managed to get something designed today and she's really pleased with it (even though I purposely designed a small one due to time constraints), so, as I'm working tonight, I'll be able to make a start on it tomorrow night. I'm going to have a very busy couple of weeks ahead of me!

I've worked out that I will have approximately 1 week to stitch it if it's to get there in time for her to have it framed *gulp*. Fortunately, it's not a huge design and she wants it stitched in black on a neurtral fabric (which I have in my stash already) so I can start right away. I might even make a start tonight when I get home from work! And if Xan decides to take a nap tomorrow afternoon, I might be able to squeeze an hor of stitching in there too *hope*.

Will deffo be taking pics before it goes off though.

I've also finally designed a little signiture sigil to put on all my work which incorporates my initials (KS) wit hthe KK of Kincavel Krosses (which I always intended to be back to back). The result is a mirror-iage KS that looks a bit like a butterfly. It's very simple, but I'm quite pleased with it:

Well, I couldn't resist starting it tonight when I got home from work, so this represents 1.5 hours of work. I'm stitching it in 3 strands of black floss on 14-count aida which is a rustic oatmeal kind of colour with gold flecks which you can seee in the photo - very pretty! This is the top right hand corner of the border...

Just had another hour and 15 mins of stitching time before hubby went to bed. This is 2 hours 45 mins of work (and a biblical plague of frogs):
