I really am, Rosemary. It's giving me the chance to try out things that I would never have done by myself. And it's also giving me the chance to try out lots of new floss too as each project comes complete with all the materials we need for it. I do feel very lucky to have this opportunity now.

That is really beautiful, your stitching is so neat! And the colours of the thread and fabric work very well together! Do you know what the fabric is, and what is the perle thread, is Chameleon the brand? I know I recently got some silks from Chameleon Threads, but I don't know whether they do perle thread as well.

Susan the finished scissor keep is so pretty. But how sad that they don't finish the entire project. :( The new project is fantastic. I love the delicate look of the stitches and it looks so very neat. What a great group you have found. :applesauce:

Thanks everyone, you're making me  especially as this really isn't any more difficult than cross stitching - just a bit different. In fact, probably easier, because it's so geometric, you don't need to be checking on the pattern for every stitch the way I do with most cross stitching - and no confetti either!!

Mabel, yes you're right about the perle floss - it's Sugar and Spice from Chameleon Threads and you can see all the lovely colours they have on the Polstitches site. Although as you can see 16m skeins don't really go very far.

The design is from Thimble Cottage (as usual, as Tanya from TC is our teacher!) and the fabric is 28 count pale blue Jobelan (I think!)

Oh and Rose, I agree with you - I took the finished pieces with me to the last class and was really disappointed that we didn't spend any time finishing it off - most people had already done it themselves :(

Fabulous, Susan! You must be really proud of yourself! :applesauce: :applesauce:

Is there no chance of asking them for help in finishing?

I have thought of this and I don't understand just leaving a person hanging with the finish. If I was doing the class I would not end any project until everyone had completed the whole entire thing start to finish. That is just me though. :?

I decided this week that I should really try to finish one of my WIP's before starting anything else - otherwise I think I'll end up with quite a few UFO's. So I got out my little Cylamen Flower Tile and today I have finished all the cross stitching on it. Now I need to start on the back stitching :(
