Another one that has turned out beautifully. Your stitching is so lovely and uniform throughout. Do you use the railroad method to keep your stitches flat?

I do, but not all the time. Generally when I notice it's getting a bit twisty, I'll railroad for a few stitches, then I'll probably dangle to untangle.
Managed to do a bit on the first Time for God bookmark -- not sure why I'm finding it quite hard as I've certainly done smaller things, but there it is, it's a lot slower than I'd expected. As the recipients don't know they'll be given bookmarks, however, and as the group is an ongoing thing, fortunately there isn't a real deadline, so I'm just taking it as it comes.
Here is the first "band" of the first bookmark (each bookmark has five bands), this one is stitched using one strand of Rainbow Gallery Splendor silk throughout (the others use it for the lettering, but have other threads for the coloured bits):

Beautiful and thoughtful work as always! Interesting to hear about your experience with congress cloth as quite a few HAEDs are done with them from what I've read on their bulletin board. I prefer open fabrics myself, stops me getting in a mess

Just caught up with all your Madonna's - there really are beautiful, and I love how different they look using these fabulous hand-dyed threads. Are they all destined to be Christmas cards this year?

Susan, yes, these are to be my Christmas cards this year; I hope to make about 20 over the months. They're lovely and relaxing to stitch, so I have good hopes of getting that many done!

Your bookmark is coming on well and you have had a lot of distractions lately!!! So don't worry about the speed you are going it is going to be fantastic.
