The latest madonna is lovely, love the colour.
Your bookmark is also looking great, such a fun, yet meaningful design.
Great Work

Another tulip finished! This one is, like the other, on 28ct black Quaker cloth, using Petite Treasure Braid, but the colours are Pearsalls FiloFloss (a discontinued flat silk) for the leaves, and Needlepoint Inc. Silk Floss for the flower. The middle colour is actually a bit darker, but I simply can't get it to photograph correctly *grrr*
I've also done quite a bit on the second band of the bookmark, I hope to finish that band at my stitching group this afternoon. I'm still very tired but will try to go anyway as I didn't last week. Photographs tonight hopefully!

Got quite a bit done at the stitching group, despite all the chatting

.
Finished Madonna #6 -- Carrie's stranded cotton shade Epiphany and DMC silver blending filament on 20ct white aida. I used three strands, but coverage was still not as good as a single thread of Caron Impressions; may partly be because it's quite a dark, contrasting colour, though.
Fortunately coverage is not of prime importance with a design like this, so I don't really mind, but I won't use stranded cottons on the 20ct anymore (it should be fine on the 24ct). I'm hoping to get a few more Impressions, but they're so expensive

. Anyway, here she is:
And I finished the second band on the first bookmark:

Lovely stitching, Mabel, as always.
Don't try to do too much though...!

don't worry, I won't. The Madonnas are actually really relaxing to stitch, so they are what i turn to when I can't concentrate on anything more challenging. The bookmarks I will simply have to do one band at a time when I can, and if they end up as Christmas presents rather than end-of-season (i.e. early July) presents, well, so be it -- I'm sure they won't mind

. The tulips are really nice to do as well, though the black fabric makes them a bit awkward for evening stitching. I may look up something very simple on 28ct light material to do for relaxation when I've had too many Madonnas, but for now I quite enjoy them!
