At 11:10pm on Thursday night the very corner stitch got put in and it was finished!

It was a very different feeling finishing this - instead of being really excited I was calm. I just unthreaded the cards I'd stored the blends on and tidied up a bit and then went to bed. I am very proud that I stuck with this and got it finished.
