Annoying about the bulbs though. :(

And even more annoying, the chart and the cover picture don't match up properly >_<

Yeah, that would be annoying. :x
I'd contact them Angel and point it out. It isn't great when it's not stitched correctly in the cover example.

OK so here's my progress as of last night
Image
Didn't get much done, but I did go to a wedding fayre and find a photographer and florist. ^_^ But you can see that my white headpiece has different sections, which it's meant to have because the shading makes no sense without them, while the picture of the finished piece doesn't.

I contacted them with this message:
I purchased the Blue lanterns kit several months ago and have just now reached the backstitch of the design and as always I use both the chart and the sample stitch on the front cover of the kit to see where I'm going with it. However, I've noticed that your sample stitcher has actually omitted several lines of the charted backstitch. Specifically from the womans hairpiece in this design, which being black backstitch on a white background should have been obvious when the kit went into production. As such, I am left wondering if the sample stitcher was too lazy to stitch that part of the design, or if the sample stitcher as asked not to stitch that part of the design and the chart maker was too lazy to remove the backstitch that was no longer required and whichever party is at fault, why was such an obvious mistake not noticed before production?

Well put Angel, I have noticed one or two missing symbols on my Geishas as well, just filling it in with what looks right, you've done a great job with the hair :applesauce: :applesauce:

Yeah, I noticed that in here too. On the white lantern there are several empty squares....which would result in holey lanterns....So I've had to fill them in myself too. How wierd.

Thank you muchly ^_^ I've named her too. Her name is Keko, she's named after a character "in" a film. She had about a two second role, but she was talked about a lot.

She's looking great Angel. I like the backstitch on her headpiece, it looks more defined like that.

The head dress definitely benefits from your backstitch, and the whole piece is gorgeous!
