Yes, Mabel, 2 tigers were made on leftovers of the American plastic I had and one was stitched on some rubbish plastic with tiny holes, so my fingers hurt from effort and the pointing finger of the left hand was "wounded" in a few places by the needle. Hence my rush to buy Darice. I like to stitch on it, even though it makes my stitching slower because the needle has to go perpendicularly to the canvas, unlike my "sewing" tqchnique on Aida. Everything is learnt in comparison- after plastic, even the best one, stitching on Aida feels like whistling-easy and demanding less concentration. The worst thing with plastic is fixing the thread when you have to change the colour. Sometimes I use a sort of "mini parking"- a couple of threads hanging from the right side of the work in order not to cut them before using again. With few colours and small area(tigers are 5x6cm) it does work for me.
