Of course you will, and it'll be a tour de force! Personally, I'm waiting for the dragon's eyes... :D

:applesauce: :applesauce: More beautiful with each update. This is clearly a dragon that brings good luck with it. And definitely celestial.

Thank you Ladies :D

I have just been looking at the backstitching required for the CD. As you can imagine TW uses lots of different colours so I will have to keep on my toes  .

The other challenge she has sneaked in is that there are two gold metallic braids that so far have not been used. Both of colour 002V but one is a blending filament and the other is a thicker #4 braid that I have just discovered needs to be used for couching

If I get wound up with working in the centre with the fiddly blended metallic I will start on the backstitching

Couching is a wonderful method. You can do this sort of thing.

It is amazing what couching can do, as is the effect of adding a bit of backstitching:

I needed something simple to do yesterday :( ... a bit of backstitching seemed ideal.

This morning I cheered myself up with an order to Verycrafty :D

Almost every time I add the back stitch to a project, I am amazed at how it makes a design pop! come into focus and how it brings a picture to completion. Similarly I am almost always amazed when little details appear as they are supposed to when I'm stitching a design that doesn't call for back stitch. I guess that means I'm always amazed when a design actually looks like its supposed to.
The back stitch on this one is wonderful!

That's looking good, Jo. For all it often really makes a design, backstitching is mind-numbingly boring to do, so best tackled a bit at a time.

I completed doing the first colour of backstitching on Virtue:

and have begun work on Wisdom:

In my conservatory I have nearly finished both the Lily:

and of course the Vincent:

Both of these are nearly done and with the cooler weather I have discovered the joys of knitting socks

:applesauce: :applesauce: You have been real busy working on all three projects! And they are all looking great. I love the backstitching you've done. It really does bring "virtue " into sharp focus!

Thank you Carole :)

Having realised how close to the end of my Lily I was I decided to get on and finish it:

Beautuful work on all three. I haven't picked up a needle in over a week - you put me to shame. (In my defence though I have been away :shifty: )

That was an expensive apartment

A friend had a turn of the last century motorbike that was really an old push bike with a petrol motor that sat above the front wheel to drive it. Spokes etc were nearly rusted through and after he died they put it in for auction. This was over 15 years ago and back then they got over £100K for it

Having finished backstitching wisdom I first moved onto longevity

Image

Which I got into the flow with and it was soon done:

Image

As well as doing the characters I am also backstitching the window frame between each. Finally I have reached Happiness:

Image

I will work on Happiness this morning before I go out to my workshop to make some swarf

In the background I have finished the first of sock my pair of socks :) and I am nearly there with the Vincent:

Image

I might work on this while I watch the funeral tomorrow or if it is too sunny to see the TV in my Conservatory I will have to come into the dining room where I can work on Happiness :D

Such beautiful intricate stitching as always Jo! That motorbike is so realistic I'm waiting for it to vroom out of the fabric...
