Havent been stitching for a few days. My keyboard and mouse broke (at the same time! of course). So I was using my laptop and discovered that the keyboard hurst my wrists if I use it too much. So new keyboard and mouse so I'm good to go. lol.
Soooooooo, here is an update. (I have been wearing glasses since I was 16 so I decided to add some.What do you think--do they look OK. -gave myself some earings too

)

Oh my, I see some missed stitches I forgot to cross.

Quite a few infact.
This is not one of my neatest. Don't like the fabric. Too "soft", any tension and it distorts so I have been tending to stitch a bit looser than normal.

I really like the idea of making it more personal with the glasses, and the earrings look really good!
Interesting that you don't like fabric to be too soft -- is this a Jobelan fabric? That's softer and drapier than Zweigart's fabric, and lots softer than cotton evenweave, I happen to like it for certain projects but as you say it does distort quite easily. Do you have it in a hoop or frame? I find that helps.

I am using a scroll frame and it is wound up tight. I am using jubilee. I do like the softness of it but not when stitching.. I think this fabric is more for afghans.
But it does make a nice looking finished project. (it was on sale

All finished!! I added a little gold Humming bird. My friend loves them and sits for ages watching them in the summer at the feeders she has.
