Rough about the miscount. I did that 2 days ago, so I understand. Hope everything else is easier and you're able to continue work. She is beautiful. Are there no DMC/Anchor equivalents for the thread so you can get more without having to buy another kit? With different companies I've told them I ran out of thread and they've mailed me more thread without any extra charge. Have you tried that?

Hope you continue on as I love seeing her emerge! :applesauce:

I hate when I miscount. About your floss...sometimes I will see if there is a DMC that is close enough or some kits do tell the DMC equivilant and I would try that. After a few stitches stand back and judge for yourself how they blend together because sometimes they don't. Good luck and great progress :applesauce:

Thank you everyone for the great advice for the floss situation. It is just weird because this is the only one that I have had this major problem with the shortage of floss. I have gone out already and eyeballed the DMC floss for a close match... I have also contacted the company and aksed for more of the colours I need. I am going to push ahead and wait to see if I get more or if I need to find another solution.

I am not going to give up on her, she is beautiful and actually today I just got a burst of energy and excitment to work on her more so I am going to take advantage of it and see what I can get done.

Oh I informed my friend what had happened and he laughed at me and thought it was funny.

just thought I would let you guys know I haven't abandoned her...yet... I have been doing my cherubs which are another thread and part of the valentine biscornu exchange as well. I have been put to babysitting duty this week with watching my nieces since I am off from school for another couple of weeks so we will see what happens. I am planning on picking her up tonight and doing a little with her, I actually stare at her and feel really excited and motivated and compelled to work on her which is something I needed to be able to work on her. So the break of a few days which felt like an eternity was good.

I do have a quick question... How can you change the topic to say "update" so that way everyone knows I have a picture up? Thank you!

go to the first post of your topic and click edit there, when you get the edit page it should have the title at the top and then you can change the topic :)

Here is an update of the Enchantress. I decided I needed a break from her from the month of January and when UFO week came around I pulled her out and stitched her when I could especially being sick ( :ratherbe: ). Even though she is still a WIP I thought it was a good enough excuse to force myself to work on her this past week. so without any further ... here she is ..

She is coming on beautifully!
I hope the company send you out extra thread, it would be unfair not to.

You're making great progress on her, I know it's hard sometimes to feel you're actually going forward but I can see progress between your pictures ... you're doing great!
