Those ornaments are very pretty, that's such a neat idea to chart them into a sampler. I really like your choice of fabric for those (seconding Mabel's comments). I love, love, love the tiger though. I need to get that chart, I think this is the 3rd one I've seen on this forum. He is gorgeous. :applesauce:

Yes he is, isn't he?!
Kustom Krafts, Water Tiger II. You must make sure it's the 'II';Water Tiger I is also wonderful but with more blue tones. Celtic Rose sourced it for me here in the UK, the lady there was very helpful indeed.

PS I see you're from Vermont. I am very envious. New England is my most favouritest part of the world. When I am rich (  ) I plan to get a second home there and learn how to quilt!!!

I'm very excited because I have decided to start a new project today! I have chosen a wonderful chart of a little gingerbread house. It's a chart that talenaya v kindly sent me which she took from the US magazine Just Cross Stitch. The whole design is jammed full of blingy blending filament & a couple of variegated threads plus a bead or two here and there.
This is the design:

This is my stuff kitted up:

And this is my progress today (whilst waiting for the carpet-cleaning-man to do his magic after my cats had been up the chimney and deposited sooty pawprints all over my cream carpet ... again)
Image

As you can see from the chart photo, the design is stitched onto a weird sand fabric. I'm afraid I didn't like that at all, & happened to have the fabbest, perfectest, rightest-sized piece of fabric in my stash (dontcha love it when that happens?) - a piece of marbled sky blue/white evenweave with a opalescent finish. 32ct from Sew It All. All the sparkle will give it a twinkly snowy icy finish, I think. Anyway, the design is deceptively fiddly, with lots of blended threads, and a ton of backstitch, but it's a pretty thing & I think I'll enjoy doing it.

Whilst I am at it, here's a update on the Water Tiger (SOOOO nearly there ...):

& 12 Days (not much to see):

Phew! All done for a bit. Enjoy. X

PS This is a photo of the chief sooty-pawprint protagonist, Fluffy:

Oh I love the 12 days fabric.
Naughty puss.
The trees on the gingerbread house are fab, if only they grew for real.

Yay for a new project, it looks very fun! Our cat deposited a greasy (margarine) paw print on the cover of a book I was reading. I said it makes it unique, DH wasn't so impressed. At least there aren't any paw prints on your work. Water Tiger looks so brilliant :applesauce:  , I really need to get that one.

I love getting a new project kitted up, that blue fabric is yummy!

 Love the gingerbread cottage--and especially love your fabric choice. This one is going to be great to watch. Tiger is coming along great too.
LOL on poor kitty--rather has a proud look on him in that photo
