Bertie is gorgeous!! :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

There are always debates on how many strands to use - especially when stitching dark colours onto light fabric (or vice versa). I think he looks great - and your stitching is so neat!! :D

Roll on Frankie Hedgehog!!

RE: Bertie
I think it's all a matter of personal taste, I only use two threads, but I rarely stitch on 14count so it gets pretty good coverage, if you're not liking the coverage you're getting there's no reason why you can't use three. My advice is to test it out on a bit of scrap and just see which looks best to you.

And oooooooh can't wait to see the hedgepig ^_^

Great finish on Bertie and great work on Frank! I think your stitching looks great, and as other stated, coverage is kind of a personal preference thing. The more you do, the better you'll be able to tell what you like.

Love the animals that you are stitching they are all so warm and friendly looking. I think that you ar being over critical of your work because you are looking at the photo´s that were taken very close up and normally you would be looking at them further away.

Keep up the good work your stitching is great.

Thanks for everyone's kind words- you give me such a major boost in confidence you have no idea and I am so grateful for that!

Nodnod I blame evil zoom on the camera on my phone- really need to read the instructions on how to turn that off *grins*

Does anyone get really attached to their work by the way? Whenever I complete one of the critters it feels like I have made a little friend come to life- is this normal? Feels like so much of myself has gone into the stitching I guess that's why I get so fond of them :)

hehe oh yes...I made a little bunny once for one of the ATC exchanges on here. By the time he was done he had a name and a personality and a whole story built up around him...I believe he went to Mable? Or Mags? I honestly can't remember, but I was so heartbroken giving him away I think I made the new owner promise to love him :P
