Not a lot got done during Silverstone last weekend. The race was much too exciting to take my eyes off the tv, so I've been doing a bit during the week. I've packed it away until next weekend now though so I thought it was time for an update.

I know how you feel about not getting much done while the race s on! Watching F1 is about the only time I'm definitely sat down to do quality stitching but I always get drawn into the action instead of the stitching!

Looking great its really taking shape though!

It's been ages since I updated this. As the last GP was the last before the summer break, I thought I'd do a little more before putting it away, but I carried on for a week or so and then got so busy with holiday planning that I had no time for either stitching or updating my blog with stitchy progress. And my blog is where I lift the photos from for here
So, I thought I'd better just do a quick update before I vanish for three weeks...



It's coming on, just not as quickly as I'd hoped. There are a lot of fiddly bits in the middle section. The design really uses those twelve colours well to do a lot of shading. I have the rear wing done now though, and his helmet, so I'm looking forward to cracking on with the tyres on the other side and then working my way down.

What a fun project! I'm not into car racing (or any sport in fact), but I like the face on this car (well it LOOKS like a face), and I love your humour, too!
It's growing nicely!
