wow, what gorgeous stockings, you know I like snowmen and wow you have some real cuties there. Love the last stocking with all the little birdies. i like the angel too!

a little question about your update...
do you usually work on a section (reindeer) and back-stitch it before you move on to another section?
I ask because I always leave all the back-stitching till the very last but I am now wondering if that's how other cross stitchers work too ??

Yup! I started to do it this way some years ago because I think it's sooo boring to be finnished - but not finnished at all because of the backstitches... But if it's french knots, couching and/or cording in a picture, I wait with them to I'm finnished with all other stitches.

Thanks I've got a cold, so even stitching is hard now... I breath with an open mouth while stitching So I'm not as fast as I want. I have never used so much time on a stocking before, but how many stockings have been stitched in Norway, over the Atlantic Osean, in Florida, between Norway and Greece and in Crete? And also, I have bought some dressers that I have put together (auuu in my hand and thumb), but now I have more space for my stitching stash

Great progress, and I hope you feel better soon! The big news over here is that if you don't have enough vitamin D you tend to get sick more often and stay sick longer. Hope that helps.

I'm soooo fed up of this stocking But my nephew has birthday the 16th of september, and all the 4 stockings is for my sisters children, so I can't stop now....

I think the stocking is great and that you are an extra special aunt to be doing these. what lucky nieces and nephews you have.
