This a fanastic example of how varied our hobby can be. You couldn't really get two more different styles of work but they are both great and you have done a wonderful job. Very talented.

Hehe yeah they were both great fun in their own different ways; I love how there's something for everyone with cross-stitch! Thankyou for such kind words

What a beautifully finished kat/cat - love it (my niece is a Mia so she has a meerkat toy named "Mia-kat" so I must get her something similar one day - thanks for the inspiration!) I adore samplers - what a gorgeous one - yes, absolutely agree about "authentic" mistakes (not that I can see any) - I'm making plenty on mine and "adapting" accordingly for balance across my piece - tricky but I keep doing them so I guess like you it must be love...

Aww Mia-kat- that's adorable!
I've already lined up two more samplers I want to make after this one- I'd consider myself well and truly hooked on samplers. They are very addictive

I borrowed my partner's phone to see if his camera is better than mine; jury is still out!
Managed to get a few more lines done and am over halfway on the pattern. I've been working exclusively on this since my poor TOS is on hold until next week.
I've also been doing some designing and I hope to get started on a new project next week. I think I may have gone a bit over the top with it so fingers crossed it will look okay- I will keep you posted

I am so happy to say I have completed my Bristol Orphanage Sampler- but I do miss it already! Here it is pre-ironed, I am going to frame it myself *gulp* so wish me luck
I didn't like the second line up so I changed it slightly- the central bar bit is my own idea.
I was quite shocked when I looked at the back- for me this is quite neat so I thought I'd take a snap of that too:
Finally, thought I'd post my progress on my new pattern, looks like a big green blob at the moment; it's called View of the Garden by Nancy Rossi, it's a Janlynn pattern, 12x12" on 14 count Aida using DFN threads (which are actually really nice to work with)
This one has a really tight deadline so I am working exclusively on this at the moment.
Thanks for reading, hope you have a good week!

Fantastic finish

I can't believe how neat the back of your work is!

I would be ashamed to show you mine after that
Great start on your new project too

Wonderful finish to the Sampler. The back is so good it is a real mirror image.
and a good start on your new project. I am looking forward to the updates. Garden designs have such lovely colors.
