HAED Tabbies - update 8/27/12

I am another one who used to only do 1 thing at a time - I now have 3 going and may take a 4th one away with me as I won't be able to concentrate too hard with 3 GC in the house - 7,14 and almost 17 - the boss after her mum).

Carole its a great update and so pleased that Laverne likes it too. Can't have stitching around she doesn't approve of.

A little update from us on this one. I was going to do more stitching on it but have a problem with one of the colors so I decided to wait until I decide what to do. It calls for a lot of DMC 647 (2 skeins if using 2 threads, but I am doing 1x1) so used what I had and then when I got my new skein, it isn't the same color, but is much greener. I hope it shows up in the picture

I am going to go look and see if it is just that skein or if all the 647s are that shade now. If so, I will probably use 648 which is the closest I think. There are a lot of shades of grey so I know I can find one, but it is annoying.
Anyway, we enjoyed working on it:

and made some progress:

Back to Amulet and Emmaline. I need color. I have noticed how much attention I have been paying to other's colorful stitching.

Your helper looks very possessive about this piece

It's coming on beautifully. What a shame about the difference in the dye lots of the greys. It's amazing how they can differ isn't it. So annoying sometimes though. Hope you can find a suitable substitute.
