:applesauce:  it Katrina and you have done a fantastic job on fixing the gumboots/wellies too.

I think there is a newish thread out which can be brushed and it gives the appearance of wool. Don't know if its Anchor orDMC though -hope someone knows about it and can help you find it.

:applesauce: Great Update. You have done a really good job with the wellies. Have you looked at Rainbow Blending Thread by Glissen Gloss I was supposed to use that for something in the "Cat Hair is Specialty Thread" piece I did, but didn't like how it looked (I think the letters were supposed to be done in it), but think it might have some of the effect you are looking for.

This is a lovely update :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: Yes there are a couple of different threads that will give a fuzzy look and of course I can not think of the name. I used them a few years back and found them quite fiddly to work with......

This is looking great! You could always buy a couple of pom poms and stitch them on, but you would need a deeper frame to do that. :thinks:

Have had lots of up as and downs in life lately so stitching was put to the side but decided to start up again and stitch this peacock for a friend who has just got married and her married name is now Peacock so I thought it was very apt. Have done a bit more since this picture was taken but will wait till I am finished the swirls. It is supposed to have a border of feathers around it but I am leaving those out and am going to add their names and date of the wedding instead. Swirls are done in DMC Light Effects E3852. Horrible stuff to work with!

:applesauce: :applesauce: Glad to see you back and with such a lovely piece as your peacock is. I agree that Light Effects are :tantrum: causing. Kreinik #4 braid is better, but Petite Treasures Rainbow Gallery, which I just used for the first time, trumps it also.

I have to say that I love the pictures you have posted of your projects. Right now I'm in a peacock phase and think yours has such gorgeous colors. The Aurora Cabin is somewhat almost mystical with the icy colors juxtaposed with the brillant ones of the aurora. The Pleasures of Winter is coming along magnificently and look forward to updates when you have time.

Keep up the good work! :)

What a lovely project! I hope you're using Thread Heaven to tame the horrible DMC light effects. :)
