Home now. He was discharged around noon and is home and the only restriction is he can't have chili on his hot dog sandwich until next week. Will be at home till Thursday when he will be spending a week at his sister's so I will be seeing a fair amount of him then.
Thank you all so very much for listening to me and for your concern for David. I know if you could meet him he would charm you all. The hard part is going to be getting him to tell us when he isn't feeling well or if something hurts because if he has anything planned (like going out to dinner with me or going to his sisters and especially if we are supposed to be seeing a movie) he won't tell. Now I'm a little concerned he will be afraid that he might have to go back to the hospital if he tells someone his stomach is hurting or whatever, but for right now I'm just relieved.
