One is called "Somebunny to Love" from the Cross Stitch Card Shop and the other is Stoney Creek Pattern of the Month Series "Offer Hope" which has a snowman and birdhouse with a bird. I will make this into an ornament. While stitching, I can gradually feel the tension disappearing. Now to make it to the end of Jan!
9 more days to go..... until Feb! :D

Oh shoot...I was so proud of my $9 (hanging head in shame). But $9 is better than what I've been spending. :-)

Oh, let us know how "Offer Hope" stitches up. I have the full set of charts and I think I want to do them as the full "welcome" on one piece of fabric. Until I decide, I'll just admire the charts and the fibers, and wait to see yours.

Am I the only one who somewhat struggled to stay within budget? I don't know if it's because I really wanted (notice I didn't even claim to need!) things, or is it because if you tell me I can't have something, I want it even more? :-)

Well.. even though I spent a total of $20.41, it was from christmas money.. so that puts me at $0 for the month! And I still have some christmas money left, as well as some micheal's gift cards.

You know surprisingly I was ok with not buying any stash. Yes I could not resist the keeper/minder set but that was more because of my snowman obsession and not my stitching obsession. Now this is only the first month so I will see how it goes as the months go along. :D :D :D

I really haven't had a lot of time to stitch. I haven't bought anything this month even though there is a pattern I'm tempted to get eventually.

This month I went a little nuts buying stash because I had xmas gift money. I spent just under $59 on fabric, patterns & floss but after the gift money, my Jan total is $15.91.

I've got 5 projects of varying sizes on my "to stitch" list that are all ready to go (fabric & floss) plus my current WIP "Victorian Xmas Eve" so I should be good to go for awhile. But I can see myself succumbing to buy XS magazines in the next few months.

Have you all gotten the e-mail from Mel explaining what is and what is not considered stash. She did quite a nice job of explaining most all of the do's and don'ts I will of course follow her guide lines but I must say that the whole gift giving not counting as stash I do not agree with. Ho-hum it is not my call on the rules so like I said I will follow her lead.

So with her explaination then the month of January I did stay with in budget by spending $20 of the $25 allowed on the Fob/minder set. Looks like that makes me the big spender from our board this month.

Hand over heart I promise to be a better example from here on. :?

Nope, I outspent you...I bought two needle minders that pushed my total to $21.

My goal is to try for zero dollars in February...good thing it's a short month, right?

Well, if it wasn't for a random amount on a gift card I would have spent $37.85 if that makes you feel any better?
