So glad to catch up with this. Love the designs, and you are doing a fab job, as usual.

Any further forward on Rudolph's bling?

No, not yet, Serinde, but I did manage to come across some of the needed gold beads in my stash (imagine that?) so I may just finish as it was charted---Need to finish up And Heaven and Nature Sing first--should be in the next couple of days.

Thanks so much everyone---for all of the very nice replies!!

No clue how I missed this thread. Beautiful stitching on Heaven and Nature Sing. I look forward to seeing the framed version.

Re: karen4bells 2016 projects-two current projects

Post by karen4bells »

I'm currently working on a couple of projects, the first being Just Nan's Gingham Christmas--I bought the kit from Stash Unload on Facebook and the person had started it but for some reason didn't want to finish--so I got a bargain on it---she'd done from the top to the row of hearts and I've done the rest---still a way to go, but I do love how it looks---the fabric is more difficult to see the proper holes sometimes but that's due to my aging eyes

Image

And the second is a Blackbird Designs called Moonlit Garden---I've changed the house up considerably---the original is a checkered pattern for the house, which didn't impress me---here's my start on it, using 36 ct vintage country linen

What beautiful projects! Your stitching is lovely. :applesauce:  I think Moonlit Garden is one I saw on a blog and made the mistake of looking for it on EBay since it is out of print. The seller wanted an exorbitant amount for the chart. I will happily watch yours come to life instead. :D

I love the way you changed the house. The pattern is quite nice but I never understood the checkered pattern on a house.

Thanks for the compliment, and I agree with the checkered house---the chart is on loan to me from a facebook group---that's the only way I could manage to stitch it!!

In my research trying to find that particular pattern I did come across a Facebook group that is specifically for Blackbird Designs. They have many out of print charts for loan. Unfortunately I do not have a Facebook account and that is not likely to change. I am glad such groups exist so that those who truly love to stitch don't have to pay the crazy eBay prices.

WOW Karen, that Gingham Christmas is awesome and you are managing well with that fabric. Love your other new start too and I am sure it going to look wonderful with your changes. :D :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:
