Oh my goodness, how beautiful that angel is. It is so well stitched & lovely colours. What a brilliant picture that will make when completed & framed. Look forward to more updates. Just love it.
Giving the Passion Flower Angel a break for a while. I am making good progress on Blackbird Designs America--stitched on Lakeside Linen 40 count Homespun. I only need to finish the border now

You stitched it beautifully. I like the way the flag hangs, with all the shadings.

That is so pretty! I agree with poppy about how the flag is stitched.

I really like this design. I am another one that appreciates the shading and how the flag hangs beautifully. I am always amazed at the way designers are able to capture the feel of something such as a flag hanging.
Thank you for all of the positive replies!! It really does help. America is finished, and I do love how it turned out--better than I expected since I am not used to stitching on 40 count linen. Here is how it looks
And here is my progress on the Passion Flower Angel---she will look so much better when the back stitching is done

The flag is great, a different take on what I've seen before. Absolutely love the angel, she is just gorgeous & beautiful. Lovely work you have stitched as both are so very neatly done.
Congratulations on the America finish. It's got such a quaint folksy feel to it. I would love having this up in my house.
I continue to love the adorable curls of your angel with each and every update. She is so beautiful and sweet. I am looking forward to seeing more updates of her.
I haven't posted any project photos in quite a while--but have been busy stitching. I am currently doing a SAL in a facebook group for Heartstring Samplery Coffee Quaker.
Here is a picture of the design
and here is my progress picture as of may 18th--need to move the qsnap again soon and will update with current progress when I do that
I am stitching this on 40 ct hand dyed linen--1 thread over 2 and subbing in threads from Victorian Motto--and making some color changes along the way

Beautiful! I'm going to stitch that one for my son and d-i-l. I might take it with me when I go dog sit for them in September. Why does it seem the hardest part of packing is deciding which cross stitch projects to take? I'm going on a cruise in a couple weeks and have spent more time thinking about stitchy stuff than clothing stuff - probably not a good idea.
