I like her stuff. And she teaches her courses (not now, obviously) at the Ashmolean in Oxford. Would love to take one of them.

Well, I did sign up for that course. Why not? We can't go up north for our anniversary (hotel is closed), so as DH said, we suddenly have some extra to spend. Isn't he nice?

Also H&H package arrived today.

The whole thing has me slightly outside my comfort zone. I swore after the Tapestry of Scotland I'd never work with wool on cloth again. And yet. Too late now, though. It's in the post!

When you have stitched a picture, you frame it. What will you do to complete this design? Or will it be part of a set of similar designs framed together? Looking forward to seeing the WIP (and the finish, of course). Happy stitching.

I have no idea, Lyudmila, how I'll finish it. I'm looking forward to seeing the entire design, for a start. This could trigger a whole new desire to stitch a bunch of medieval designs I have in my stash... oh, dear!

Remember my Zoe box? Well, here it is. You can just about see the stitching on the inside of the box. That's the inside of the lid beneath the box. So, that's one of my 9 for 2020 done.

Oh my goodness that has come out beautifully! I am in awe of people who can "finish" things, and this is a particularly gorgeous one.

There are not enough adjectives in the English language to describe this fabulous work of art. Serinde - once again you leave me almost speechless with the amazing things you do with your wonderful stitching.

Thank you all. The stitching wasn't too difficult, although Faby Reilly uses techniques I hadn't encountered before. The construction, on the other hand, took a lot of thought. I kinda sidled up to it, crab-wise. Even snipping threads in hardanger didn't prepare me for the real fear that I'd get it Utterly And Totally Wrong and RUIN IT. The last seam up the side is, shall we say, a bit rough and ready... But I'm pleased with it. More than pleased, actually; happy. :P

That is absolutely exquisite. A really refreshing piece rather than the usual flat stitching. I love it.
