I love the designs. This one seems cheerful to me, for some reason.

And here is number 3. Not as "polished" (ha!) as the others. Had a terrible time with it because the iron-on transfer had faded terribly, so I was mostly guessing... note to self: Iron on as needed!

It's fabulous! Your guesswork works.
Absolutely keep guessing if it comes out this good!

Does anyone have any tips for stitching on 14ct plastic canvas? I’m making a “cottage”, and the parts are all laid out on this sheet of plastic canvas. Obviously it can’t go into a hoop. I’m hoping there’s an alternative to trying to lace it onto some sort of frame. (I don’t actually want to cut out the various parts before I’ve stitched them, either, if it can be avoided. Counting…
This Darice brand plastic canvas is thinner than anything I used in the past — very flexible as it is probably only 1mm thick. It’s almost like using an Aida with lots of sizing. I’m hoping that the more stitching there is, the easier it will be.
How about finding some strips of something ridged and over sewing them round the edges, say wooden coffee stirring sticks or preferably something longer. I have some bamboo skewers which are longer than a piece of paper with a flat section.
Better still you can get some plastic spines that are supposed to go around the sides of a few sheets of paper to make them into a document. They are sort of tear drop in section with the paper going in on the pointed part of the tear drop. You could put those round the edge to make it more ridged.
The last of my exhibition pieces for my local stitching group (the hardanger and the little houses being the others). It has a gold bow on the back. (I wasn't going to stitch the design twice -- that way madness lay).
