You are doing a great job and it looks like you will be done in no time at all.

Re: Sarah's next project - Celestial sun, moon and stars
Here's my next update, after about another three hours' stitching. A couple of stars and "Libra" - coincidence that...... I'm a Libra and I've already done Aries (Simon's star sign!)

Re: Sarah's next project - Celestial sun, moon and stars
Well, here's Wednesday night's progress - I think I got about four hours in tonight. "Pisces" has been added, plus I stitched the names of the three star signs and added some more border. It's growing so fast, I've nearly done a quarter of it already!

Re: Sarah's next project - Celestial sun, moon and stars
It's really lovely to stitch - the colours are nice and because the background blues are all half crosses it grows like mad!
I've noticed that the way they've done the chart is a bit rough in places - for instance each point of the sun has backstitch around it but only full cross stitches have been used for filling in with no quarter or half stitches - therefore the filled in parts of the sun don't go right up to the backstitch lines and some of the blue background invades the points of the sun! So I'm tidying it up as I go by using quarter and half stitches, to fill in each sun point properly. The same goes for the moon when I get to it and the larger white stars. I managed to get an hour of stitching in this morning before work and did some of the blue background which surrounds Mr Sun. I'll do some more tonight and then post another pic! I'm really enjoying seeing this grow - I think it'll be a nice piece when it's finished.

This design is well worth putting extra stitches in to make it work for you, it's a corker

Here's Thursday's update after an hour's stitching in the morning and about four hours in the evening. Lots of background in shades of blue, purple and white and a few more stars.
