that's so cool!

my joy atm is planning my son's 3rd birthday which is sunday..
he's so excited.
He knows how to hold up 2 fingers and then I showed him how to do the "I'm 3" with his fingers..he said," I can use another finger now! That's old!" lol

just wait till he has to use all fingers and toes and still not have enough digits to show his age.

I had a lovely time today. I went to teach a class today, to substitute for a sick colleague. I didn't have time to really prepare, just took an exam paper from my folders, and told them we could see how much they know. It was just grammar and vocabulary exercises all the time, for two hours. At the end I told them, I am sorry it was so boring - and they said, it was a lesson where they had learnt a lot. Then asked me if I could teach them next year. :D

(This is a class many colleagues complain of - they don't behave, don't work, don't want to do anything - and they were working fantastic with me. )

It's because you are basically a great teacher who respects her students. No wonder they work for you! :applesauce: :applesauce:

That's wonderful, Agi! It really does depend on how you approach and treat the class.

What a wonderful idea cc!! I agree that many people focus more on what is wrong or worrisome in their lives rather than on what is still good for them. Sometimes though, it can be so very hard to focus on something good when a person is caught up in a difficult situation, so I think a thread like this one can be a wonderful way to help people to see the good stuff (which can make dealing with the not so good stuff a bit easier)

..having my neice toddle over to me as quickly as she can and throw her arms around me, hug me tight and then snuggle in to me and say "ahhhmmmaaa" with a happy little sigh (aunt missy ..can't say it yet so calls me ahh ma..LOL)

...having my son, daughter and/or DH tell me they love me and hug me

The best part of the day today:
I come home dog tired, nervous, had hardly enough time today to go to the loo, not to mention eating, hubby is not well, we have been arguing :( - and then I sit down in front of my computer, come here, and you make me smile, then laugh out loud, and slowly the stress goes out of my system :) It's so good to be here. Thanks, guys.

Today some flowers (lovely carnations) were delivered to our door -- they turned out to be from a lady from church, for whom I'd cooked a few meals while her husband was in hospital

Oh, I envy you, Mabel - I do love crocuses. I used to have them in our house, too, and missing them now (look at my avatar).

I had a wonderful night: with Paul Newman  There was this film about the fire in the skyscraper on tv last night, I don't know the oroginal title. Oh, those blue eyes! The only problem was that I went to bed at 1.30 am, and had to get up at 6.00. :x
And now

I have finally, finally found the answer to something I wanted to do with the menus on our website -- I found a site which discussed something similar and adapted the PHP for our purposes, and IT WORKS   .

A very good reason to be joyful!!

My CT scan appointment coming through much more quickly than I'd expected -- off to be scanned this afternoon! (no food for four hours and drink HUGE amounts of water to prepare, ugh)
