It's looking great already :applesauce: Are you happy with the fabric/coverage?

OK - thought I'd get in the latest progress pic

Image

Again even with my wonderful new lamp I have not spent much time stitching. Have a few 'issues' going on & sometimes just don't have the heart to get into anything :(

But - heigh-ho - such is life!

I am hoping that as I have a week off next week I can get my mind off everything else for a while and lose myself in this!

I am actually enjoying using this fabric & coverage to me seems OK. I have gone back to using a plastic hoop though as the q-snap did not keep things tight enough for me and being thicker than the hoop was more tiring to hold.

The main thing is, when I get to stitch I am enjoying it even though I have made an enormous boo boo somewhere along the in I am in a part of the pic I can get away with it! I hope!)

It's looking good, like a whole little picture already! :applesauce:
Hope you get lots of stitchy time when you're off work then, doesn't work just get in the way?!
And I can't see your mistake anywhere... the main thing is just make sure to keep it in that section, so everything else around it will still line up properly! :D

Enjoying is good :-) and so is your progress :applesauce:

I know what you mean about the Qsnaps, I love them but they are more tiring to hold -- perhaps it's not surprising that my two UFOs are both Qsnap projects...

Hi guys

Thanks for all the encouraging comments!

I have been off work for a week but only had one stitching day out of it :( Sill got lots done ...

Image

Finished page 1 (bar one or 2 confetti) and have gridded up for page 2. I am afraid my earlier mistake was a miscount in one of the grid squares - I mistook the line edge which means I have ended up with one row too many BUT on the upside it's at a point where it can easily be fudged over!

I don't think I am getting on too well with this pen gridding lark. Maybe cos it's a 25 count fabric or maybe my pen doesn't work right but it doesn't seem to make nice even lines and to get the lines to show up I have to draw 3 or 4 times down the fabric. For the 2nd pages gridding I used pins to mark out the grid and a ruler to help draw the lines so I hope that I'll do better this time but I hadn't got the grid count wrong last time it's just that the lines were not clearly defined enough!
Think I am going to get some gridding thread or as someone on the forum suggested, fishing line, and try stitching a grid next time!

Well hope to do some stitching later today and maybe a bit tomorrow morning which is my last day off.

Wish me luck with page 2 - I get a feeling I'm gonna need it!
