I love these designs but never really had anyone to stitch one for so I am really enjoying experiencing it through you.

I never did befor either, although I fell in love with the artwork the first time I saw it - I love that you never see Charlie's face and he could be ANY little boy. Now that I'm back into my stitching and have a very young son, I plan to do quite a few of these lovely designs. I have another kit and several more charts I plan to try out. Then I'll have them all framed and put them up in the nursary. :)

Just a small amount of stitching time tonight as I've had a stonking bad headache most of the day. Still, I'm making progress - I've finished all the blue sky in the upper right windowpane and started on the lower right windowpane.

I can't believe how quickly it's stitching up either! Although, I'm loving it so much that I'm picking it up every chance I get. As soon as Xander goes down for a nap, out comes my hoop, and as soon as he's down in bed at night, it's out again while I watch some telly with hubby. :)

My last progress update of the year! I've now finished all the blue sky in the windows and have started the windowsill on the right. You can now clearly see the silhouettes of Charlie and his toy. :)

Of course, I now have to leave poor little Charlie for a week while I do my UFO. I'll be working on my ABC afghan for the next 7 days, then I'll be back to Charlie, off and on, between other projects I have to get done during January.

I'm gutted that I can't just press on and finish Charlie, but I promised myself that I'd do 3 letters on Xander's ABC afghan each UFO week and I am also taking part in the Basket of Biscornu challenge this year (one biscornu each month for my Xmas tree!) and I'm also taking part in a bookmark stitch this month. I'm already itching to get back to Charlie, though - I'm pleased with how much I managed to get done in a week. :)

Yay! I get to stitch Charlie for the next week (till 20th) until "Xmas Card Week" (which starts on 21st). Tonight I finished the window frame and sill on the lower right side and I've started stitching te wall at the lower right side too.
