Here is more progress, and I have been thinking of the interior design.
The lower tower room is a small den which will become my stitching/computer/TV room painted in a soft soothing mauve (what else??

)
Over that room is the master bedroom (painted eggplant with white wood work and white wainscotting). It stretches out over the back porch and since it is so big I will partition off the area at the back of the room for a master en suite ( shower only, I hate tubs) since the only bathroom is downstairs. That down stairs bathroom will be a powder room / laundry room (I hate basements, especially low ceilings) The other small bedroom upstairs (one of 5) will become the main bathroom with an old fashion claw foot bath tub and free standing shower in. That will be painted soft blues .
Leaving 4 good sized bedrooms.
The kitchen, which is huge anyway (old farmhouses are like that) will be updated with stainless steel and granite but retaining the farmhouse feel Painted in tones of butter cream. It will open up onto the family room (painted a soft sage green with cream accents)where there is access (french doors) to the back porch (screened of course). For outdoor entertaining.That will have a bbq, outdoor fire place and pool.
The front room will remain the formal sitting room but with a contenporary feel. The attic (which is huge ) will be painted and updated but not currently used (it will help the resale value). That should about cover it.
Sad isn't it, I have way too much time on my hands.

Not sad at all, I think it is wonderful that you can imagine such a wonderful place and it must make the stitching that much more fun. I love your ideas.
Plus the stitching is fantastic!!!!

Love the plans for the house, and I could definitely live with a living room of sage and cream!

Wouldn't it be wonderful to live in the place you describe.

Ah well, will just have to be satisfied to see it stitched.
