If I really peer hard at it, I can just see what you mean about coverage. But who's going to peer hard when it's framed and hanging on the wall?
The dramatic effect of the image and the colours will more than compensate for any slight coverage issue. And it IS slight! It's looking good already and will be a beautiful thing when finished!

It's looking great! I admire you for being able to hold back and stitch that much more background before going on to the kitty!!

Geee I wonder what's missing in this photo??? It kind of reminds me of those photo shots in the cross stitch magazines, and you have to guess what celebrity you can stitch up next issue?

I can't believe how long it's taken me to finish off this page!! There was a lot more confetti in it than I had realised, but ...... I don't care!!
I'm still loving doing it and I think the detail (which isn't as good in the photo) is incredible!!
I may, however, let him go 'cat-napping' for a while, as I finish off another wee project and get back to my Dragonfly design, as well. Going to be hard leaving him alone ..........
Many years ago cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this.

Beautiful furry ear, the whole piece looks fantastic, great work!
The next thing to decide is whether to continue across to the other ear, or down for the kitty's eye
