Here is my update for the week on Butterflies Galore, almost finished page 2:

It is amazing how it feels like you are doing one stitch of what seems like every colour in the chart (which can't possibly produce anything!) that then transforms into a butterfly or a wisp of hair!

:applesauce: Great update. You are making fantastic progress. I am always amazed when confetti turns into what it is supposed to look like. I often start recounting because I am sure I must be off and then all of a sudden a picture seems to emerge. This one you are doing has some gorgeous colors in it. Can't wait for the next update.

My second HAED finish - stitched on 28ct Lilac Brittney 2 over 1 tent stitch. Started 25 July 2011 finished 8 November 2011 - though 80% was stitched in the last two weeks.

Now all I have to do is decide which charts I might like to have via the reward program which will run again at the end of December! As a reward for my finish I ordered a metre of Jobelan and some PTBs and perle threads that I need for CGM. Now I just need to get the DMCs sorted and all stash will be in place for my first Chatelaine. I guess in the meantime I could do some stitching on Starry Night with Tardis - seeing as I haven't touched it since August!

:applesauce: :applesauce: I can't believe how quickly you did this. Do you think the tent stitch made it go that much faster? She is beautiful. Congratulations on your second HAED finish. I think you gave yourself some great rewards too. I am looking forward to your updates on Starry Night and can't wait for you to get going on the Chatelaine.

That is a really excellent point Serinde - I think I will be more inclined to stitch it on cold winter nights!

Tenting is definitely quicker when it comes to doing blocks of colour - but when it comes to confetti it is just as slow! I was unsure whether tenting sat right with me at first - but to be honest once a piece is framed and you look at it from a normal distance you would be hard pushed to tell whether is was tented or full cross! When I start Sunflower Bee some time next year I am very tempted to tent again - I have a metre of 28ct to use and my choices would be 1 over 1 full cross or 2 over 1 tent. Tenting means I can use a loop start so you can see why I'm leaning strongly toward it!!
