Lovely designs & wonderful stitching as always. You do so many variations on embroidery, really great to see how diverse & imaginative you are Mabel.

Oh the bird is beautiful, so pretty and I love the relative "chunkiness" of the stitches you have used ( I need to get an A-Z book of embroidery stitches).
Ethelnute is coming along nicely, although I do hope you aren't taxing your wrist too much with the spilt stitches. Its so interesting to see how the light falls differently on the change of direction.
Well done Mabel

You are a magician with the needle Mabel, I love all the different techniques you use on your wips, and they all look stunning

Made a start on my Kelly Fletcher tea towel. I didn't trust the DMC threads in the kit - I think they are "kit quality threads" - so am using floche and coton a broder #16

Seems s terrible idea to use such beautiful stitching on a tea towel. It might be damaged by use and then ruined.
OK, I have tea towels that are currently 30 years old, but tea towels wear out... And then where would that lovely design be?
Now, it's also nice to have decorated things in the house, so what better use for it?
As you can see, I'm somewhat conflicted about this. One thing I can agree with myself about is that it's lovely.
Regards,
Richard.

Well, look at it this way - I enjoyed stitching it, and if I don't use it it will simply end up in my box of completed-but-otherwise-neglected projects

I absolutely love it and I'm with Richard - a bit conflicted. But if it was me, I would totally use it after a long debate with myself.

Think how much fun it'll be using this to accomplish dull kitchen chores.

I love it. I would use it .....but I would avoid the superbly stitched corner.

Imagine getting that careful and neat stitching stained.

I haven't washed it yet either.....

However, the threads are all reputable DMC (floche and coton a broder) so it should be fine
