I love the nameplate - very creative, and fun. It will be fun to give, and enjoy. Great finish!

Gosh, haven't updated for a while!! I have been stitching but not madly, but I have got some work done.

Anyway, the name plate came back from the framer's,

It's James's birthday today, and he really liked it so I'm pleased.

I have also started a hardanger doily. I have finished all the satin stitches and buttonhole edging (never done that before, was a bit scary!!). Now waiting for the thinner thread before I cut the fabric. It's about 12" across in all and if it turns out ok will be a birthday gift for a friend.

And while I am at it, here's an update on the mermaid. The beading is interminable!! Haven't progressed very far but I am getting there,

I'm scouting about for a new 'major project' at the mo, but nothing's leaping out at me.

The frame looks wonderful Slinky, I'm pleased that he liked it as it's a great piuece of stitching. :applesauce:

Great work on the other two items - love the colours and beading on the mermaid :applesauce: and as Rose always says, any progress is progress. :D

The mermaid...is stunning! Those beads give a great depth to the design! :wub:

The doily is wonderful--looks quite complicated to say the least!! Nice job on it!!
The mermaid is just stunning--the beadwork is amazing and really does add a lot to the project!!! :dance: :dance:

:applesauce: I can't get over how good the robot alphabet looks, somehow it doesn't look like just stitching, it's so detailed!

And the mermaid is beautiful, I love her hair! Keep at it with the beads :lol:
