B is now also finished! Because I didn't want the project to end up enormous (each letter is is 40x40 stitches) I am doing it over 1 on 25ct) so I was a bit worried about the bees not turning out well as there is a lot of backstitch on each bee (plus 4 french knots) but I am happy with how they turned out.

Ah that is so very cute. What a sweet pattern. May I ask what the animal is that is with the A or am I being very dense???????

Its an Archie.

I believe Archie is one of Margaret Sherry 'characters'. Not all the letters are actually real animals ie. U (unicorn) and X (cross stitching cat).

Oh wow I've only just caught up with your finished snowpeople - how did I miss that

It's wonderful.
Love your new projects too, the red flower on black will be gorgeous.

Well done on finishing the snowmen, I love them & it's great the way they show the time of year, even though there are just 9 of them instead of 12 for 12 months, I think they picked out the best ones!
I also am very struck by the flowers on black, although I'm not usually patient enough to stitch flowers....
and the alphabet is lovely as well, well done for doing all that backstitch on the bees on 25ct!

Thanks. I wanted to do something different than straight lines and it also solves the problem of 26 not being a very nice number to divide ie 6 rows of 4 letters - leaves 2 letters over and then you have to decide where to position the odd letters!

Perhaps we should change our alphabet...
I've found that one way which can work well is to position them 5 4 3 2 3 4 5:
ABCDE
FGHI
JKL
MN
OPQ
RSTU
VWXYZ

Hmm, I spaced this beautifully so it would look like an hourglass shape, but it won't display it correctly. Hope it makes sense anyway

Mabel I also have noticed that if you try to space things out on the forum and there are just spaces when you hit submit it removes the spaces. Not sure why that is but it has always been that way.
I understand what you were trying to explain and the hour glass shaping is a great idea.
