i started Flowerpot kitty, which is the picture like my avatar. It is all whole stitches but is a bit overwhelming as it is a big chart so when i look at it my brain gets all tangled (like when thread gets tangled  ) because it sees all this information and cant separate it.

I have had it enlarged and am crossing off the rows, something i have never had to do before  but still struggling. Getting frustrated. Might try something smaller.

Well, not sure if i will actually get back to my old job now. If I do it will be on greatly reduced hours. I will be having to try and find another job that is less stressful. I knew this would happen one day, so I am not sad or anything. I am getting better slowly though so even if i can go back a few days a week, actually i worked out i only need to go back 3 days in a fortnight to cover basic bills and mortgage then that will give me breathing space to find a new job. I am hoping i can find something at the place i work because i like working there, but it isn''t very big.

Thankyou all for you nice comments and encouragement

Keeping fingers crossed that there is a part time job where you are now.

Sorry that the Flower pot Kitty is being such a problem for you just now. It is a busy chart.

Well, I thought it was about time I updated my thread here...6 weeks since I last posted..where has that time gone

Since I last posted things have been a bit tough so I have been reading but not posting much. I know others too have and/or are having a hard time.

Firstly, I made this card for my dads birthday

Image

and also the needle case and scissor fob. I also have the pincushion kit to do. These are housed in my sewing cabinet. The needle case contains all my big craft needles. Anyone with needle phobia would not like to see them..there are needles for leather, carpet, vinyl, curved needles, upholstery needles ect...

Now, about me. Today, was the last (fingers crossed) tablet dose going up. So far I feel okay but I know in a few days it will hit me. I am back at work 3.5 days every 2 weeks plus on sickness benefits. Still having small seizures occasionally but nothing debilitating. I also need to eventually find new work, something less stressful and no shift work. This is causing me lots of stress and also upsets me a bit. I know my job and knowing that I cant do it because of the epilepsy saddens me a lot. The idea of starting over is very daunting and something I cant face at the moment. Whilst I know right now it’’s not practical to even be considering all this, I cant help thinking about it which is not helping!!

Stitching wise things are slow and haphazard. At the moment, I am still doing flowerpot kitty, which is my avatar...i have done about 1/2 of it now and also about ¾ of the geisha I got from vanessaj and about 1/3rd of a peg bag for mum. I made a small start on European café and my plan is to basically finish these, the blue wren and soul music wolves by the end of the year, so not starting anything new except my xmas stitching which I will start shortly depending on how I feel. I have not put up photos of the half finished pieces but may do depending on how I feel.

I also receive my cross stitcher magazine in the mail these days as I took out a subscription a while back which was the best thing I have done in a while. No great stash purchases, no money or need. I am considering taking out a woxs subscription though. LauraUK was kind enough to get the current issue for me and post it on. Thank you muchly LauraUK! Looking forward to that this week.

Great to see you back online Barb and hope the tablet increase doesn't cause as many problems as the other increases have.

Still haven't started Flowerpot Kitty, but have started a Christmas card and have a quilt all ready to hand quilt this week - maybe.
