You can have another update - last one I have at the moment until camera gets used up....
Look look look! In the latest page you can see the tiled floor appearing!! It's good to get back to big blocks of colour again after the red background made of equal amounts of 3 colours.
The bright green turtle on the left is called Aristotle As it turns out, he's just the right shape to prop my chart/clipboard up on!
I've run out of 815! But am coming to the end of a page at the moment so going to carry on and fill in the missed bits once I get some more.

It is Kerri - I'm starting to have fantasies about stitching in totally different colours (blue! green! yellow! orange!) But also think it'll be a bit of a wrench to leave the old familiar symbol/colour combinations, e.g. a black square won't always be 310, an 8-ball won't always be 3371... not sure how I'll cope!!
You'll be amused at this - a lady seeing this for the first time this morning said to me "I know what you should do with this when you've finished it, you should frame it and then sell it" !!!!!! I think she was taken aback by how strongly I reacted to that!! But maybe just one of those things only other stitchers can fully appreciate!

HAED Crystal of Enchantment - 8.7% complete!!!
that looks absolutuely stunning!!! I know what you mean about doing blocks where its different shades of the same colour cos it can get frustrating but im glad you stuck with it cos it definately looks like the end result will be worth the wait

In my HAED chart a black square isn't 310! I have no idea what they were thinking as the association seems so obvious to me.

aaargh!!! Can you imagine?? I'd start quoting prices at that stage "well x for the fabric, x for the thread, x for the chart, xxxxxxx stitches at 100 stitches/hour at minimum wage would be ££££££££." And then people back away slightly...

yes, they seem to think you can just whip this up in a couple of days
She's absolutley stunning!! I can imagine that very soon when she's finished, framed and hanging on the wall you'll just spend hours looking at her and not getting much new stitching done!! cos I know thats what I'd end up doing!
