Scotland the Brave is very good, I think! Made me laugh, though: "antique"! Sounds like the way they talk about tartans -- Hunting Stewart, Antique Farquharson, Dress Campbell...

Yes, I know

it's why I decided on "muted" as a description in the chart pack.

This will go live later this week -- it's Tudor. I made some changes to the design while stitching, cutting in a few more places, and 'm really pleased with the textureal effect of the stitches on the white petals; I wasn't sure they'd show up!
Because I couldn't resist, Berrington (the blue-white-gold one) is next, and I'm charting a set of small card designs too.

Oh, with some help from DH I also mounted Clover in the funny little jewellery box I got off eBay (Ruthi, was it you gave me the link?) -- I'm trying to get more photographs of designs mounted in different ways:

Wow! Wow! Wow! Love Tudor and Clover looks awesome set in the jewellery box too.

When I finally get up the nerve to try hardanger, I'll be grabbing one or two of your designs quick-smart - they're just stunning!

Tudor is just gorgeous! And Clover fits so nicely in that box. Very nice idea, and will make a nice shot for your site.

Ooh Mabel these are Stunning. Seeing what you have done has me wanting to try this. But.. what exactly is hardanger? and do you use anything different than you would with cross stitching?

Brandon, Hardanger is a type of needlework that uses a lot of satin stitch (really easy and really quick

) and then cuts holes in the fabric which are then filled with filling stitches, creating an open, lacy effect.
Materials -- at its most basic, Hardanger fabric or a 22ct or 25ct evenweave (my favourite is 25ct Lugana) plus DMC or Anchor perle cottons #5 (thick) and #8 (medium) is all you need; that, and a very pointy, sharp pair of scissors. I've written a bit more about materials and so on in the
FAQ section of my site, so you may find some helpful info there. Do have a go, it's really not difficult and very satisfying

!

A companion piece to Berrington, this is Berrington Hall (the confusion arises from the fact that I based the first one (the blue-white-gold one) on a ceiling DH showed me which I
thought was Berrington but wasn't, and this second one is. I may call the second one Berrington and think of a different name for the first one -- suggestions welcome!)
Anyways

, here is a preview of the chart -- the colours are cream, moss green and gold, there's a picture of the materials underneath the chart:

A little in-between peek -- I finished the central section of Berrington Hall (I) (I figured it was easier to just call them both Berrington Hall, with a number

-- the second one was inspired by a ceiling there, the first partly by a ceiling colour scheme there, so they both have a claim to the name

)
Anyway, central section. It looked rather nice on its own, so I thought I'd show it off even if it isn't completely finished yet
