I only spent a little of my Folksy earnings on stash - this and the last stash pic is what I got. I still have a little left... ;)

The postman brought me two new-t-me goodies from Ebay yesterday:

First I bought the Dimensions kit "Winter Geese" which depicts geese landing near a red barn in Winter. Very pretty and it's a scene I've witnessed in real life so many times. I'll enjoy having the picture in our home.

Also, I got a Shepherd's Bush leaflet "Father Yule" I like Old World Santas. This one looks to have enough detail to be interesting, but won't take months to complete! :D

HI...

I'm waiting for the arrival of my Christmas kits form "everythingcrossstitch" . They have a Christmas in July sale. I ordered some more ornaments on plastic canvas, a cute scene of a little decorated tree on the beach between 2 deck chairs ( well, I do live in southern california!) and a gorgeous window scene ( from the outside looking in).

Should be here in a couple o'days ...

well, i got my items, and i'm disappointed. :(

the ornaments are not on plastic, but aida and need to be cut out. the beach scene is in 18ct ( i've not done 18ct before). the only one i'm ok w/ is the window scene. but because the background is all blue, i thought the fabric was blue... nope! it's blue stitching!!!

guess i should read the descriptions more carefully. husband says it's ok. we'll buy some plastic canvas for the ornaments. and i can learn something new on the 18ct. and the blue stitching w/ be therapeutic. what a guy! :applesauce:

sigh,

You could always switch out the fabric with blue

I feel confident that it will turn out just fine for you! This forum has given me so many ideas I've not thought of.

Mine didn't come from the postman, but....I stopped in at Hobby Lobby this evening. They were having a sale on cross stitch packaged fabrics and such. I got a couple of colors of Aida to try and a few flosses to add to my stash. Floss wasn't on sale. I also bought a small clip on light....my floor lamp is just too hot to work under!

He just delivered my ebay bargain, 180 DMC threads for just £29.99. Guess I'll be spending a little while sorting them out! I wasn't able to spread them all out to take the photo, they are about 3 layers deep!
