It all went very well and she didn't break down - the car that is. Well, the bride didn't either :-). I do have a lovely picture with the bride and groom standing by the car, but as it's a public forum I thought I'd better pick one where they are a bit less visible. Oh, that's DH playing chauffeur!

What a gorgeous car Hilda is. There is one that lives near us (well no more than a mile away) and we occasionally see her running about too. They are so 'cute' (not quite the right word, but there is a partial fit). Engaging.. Anyway, they do make you smile.

I've come up with a little car related render that will, hopefully, make people smile too:
Dad is showing his kids how to repair the car when it blows raspberries. (The 2CV when it's plug gaps get too wide misfires on one cylinder and it sounds as if it's blowing a raspberry). The eldest bends over the engine, and looses her footing, and also knocks out the bonnet support. It's easily done, I have slipped and fallen on the engine myself, and seen the 2CV bonnet fall on the worker on 'You've Been Framed' too. Anyway, dad covers his face as if to say 'Why do I bother?' and younger brother (whose turn is next) is thoroughly enjoying the spectacle.

Iv'e seen several 2CV's with a person under the bonnet! A Dutch friend near Bristol had one that colour and her husband was often in that position!

This came up on my Desktop rotation just now - I can't remember where the image came from but I added the text some years ago in lolcat style.
It's not a smile so much perhaps, more an awww :-)

Lovely.
Apparently some (maybe all?) rats are ticklish, and they have a sound they make analogous to laughter when being tickled.

Richard, I think I'll take your word for it that rats are ticklish. :D But if you decide to tickle a rat, please take a video and share it so we can hear the laugh.

Debby, don't just take my word for it.

My ears don't register ultrasonic giggles. And the live rats brought into our house usually have something else on their minds. Usually feline.
