Below are pictures of my current WIP...I'm doing it for a friend by request. Its not the typical kind of picture I would choose, but I find that I'm enjoying it as something different and fast to see the results with.
It was a kit, which I found I do not like lol. I ended up not using any of the mess of threads it came with and converting to DMC ... it was nice to have the cloth come with it though! The pictures didn't "color" exactly right, the fabric is more of a pale lemon yellow than it shows up looking. (You'll see my gridding lines in the picture - they won't be staying lol).

Good morning! Finally another update on this one...felt like it took me forever to do this one page, I guess I had to many distractions from my hobby lol.
Only one more page to go; maybe this will be complete by early Nov....the 1st if I get real lucky and get busy

Thank you all for the compliments 
. I find sharing the piece as I make progress is keeping me motivated and helping to remind me that I'm accomplishing something when those moments come along that it feels like its taking for ever lol.

came to visit last night for the first time in the piece 
. Usually if I miss a stitch somewhere I can fix it without having to undo much...last night I missed a row of 3 little squares that threw off the whole side in a critical place and I had to undo about 100 stitches to get back to it and fix. 
Once I undid that I had to put it away for the night because I was just too annoyed to work on it anymore. I was making quick progress (sigh!!) only to miss one critical row.
Oh well, I'm off work again today, so I'm getting ready to go back to stitching it again.

Oh wow Ive just found this one. The colours in it are so vibrant and the others are right its amazing what a difference the back stitch makes in something like this.
Its looking really good so far, fingers are crossed that you can get it done by the deadline you have made yourself

Weeeeee its finished!!! The lighting causes the fabric not to look yellow in this picture...but it is a lemon yellow lol.
