I totally agree I hate using white on white Aida, its like your not making any progress, like colouring in white in a colouring book.

If I hate a particular part of a design I will pick a color and use up the strand until its gone (or until there is no more of that color to do), and then I'll pick another strand from an area where I like to work on, stitch and use that one up till its gone. And then I'll go back to the area I don't like to do and pick another strand and use it up.

I'll just switch back and forth. At least force myself to do a little bit each time and then that way I don't get so annoyed I don't want to switch at all anymore.

It works for me, maybe it'll work for someone else!
