Thanks everyone. To those of you inquiring about my wrists, I don't think they are likely to get better. But since I need the stitching to calm my nerves when I am stressed, I'm tolerating it. I probably should see a doctor again. Has anyone on the forum had tendinitis surgery? Is it horrible?

So very pretty! :applesauce: :applesauce:
Hope you can get something sorted with your wrists, it can't be easy stitching with it.

Have you tried Bowen therapy for your wrists? It works very well for things like that, I had bad RSI in my right arm and it really helped. I'm a trained but lapsed Bowen therapist. I trained with Bowtech if you google them. I can't remember where you are based, they seem to have better coverage in the UK and Australia than the US, but there are other body work types like cranial sacral osteopathy that are very good as well.

Magnet therapy (Bioflow best) could be very helpful as well.

And homeopthathy, Ruta, Arnica and Rhus tox for tendonitis.

Hope you heal soon, hugs

Sorry about the lack of updates, guys. I've barely been able to look at a needle lately. I've done almost none of this project. :(

But I did do a little... MOUNTAINS!

I have finally once again made some progress! Here ya go, a bunch of hopefully not too big pictures.

I've made it to the kimono background, most of which is 1 strand full crosses of colors used previously. The effect is nice but I do hate working with one strand. Why does it fray so much when two strands doesn't? It doesn't make sense. Shouldn't there be LESS friction only pulling one strand through?

It looks gorgeous and you can see the shading where the folds of the kimono are!

Not sure why you're finding one strand frays so much more :thinks: the effect is definitely worth it though :-)

Nothing too interesting in this update. The yellow is too light to photograph properly. Maybe when I do a bit more it will stand out better. I'm hoping to have the whole kimono stitching part done by the end of next week so I can do the backstitching. I'm going to have to do the background in bits because I don't have a qsnap big enough. I love how this is coming out so much that I might actually get around to framing it!
